A WARM WELCOME to members and visitors.
Julia Harrison demonstrated some amazing designs at our May meeting.
THANK YOU EVERYONE who entered the competition and gave us such a wonderful
display.
Special thanks go to Jenny Thomas for organising the event also Julie Kettle for judging
the 26 amazing arrangements and taking the time to give us some helpful comments for the future.

few years especially in her role as secretary.

TUESDAY 9thJUNE CLUB NIGHT
Please come along to participate In making a LONELY BOUQUET in either a basket or box, which will be provided along with a small dish containing Oasis. Joy and Di will demonstrate some examples.
YOU NEED TO BRING
A plastic table covering, an apron, scissors etc a bunch of flowers either shop bought or from your garden plus some greenery ( a small amount of greenery will be available).
These arrangements will then be placed around the Community or given to someone who is ill or needs cheering up. A TICKET will be on each basket or box entitling the recipient to a FREE ENTRY as a visitor on either JULY 14th or SEPTEMBER 8th.
THANKS FOR THE DONATED RAFFLE PRIZES for our Club night in JUNE, requests for raffle prizes will be ongoing as we plan to have raffles at our future WORKSHOPS.
SATURDAY 13th JUNE PLANT SALE
Joy’s lovely plants will be for sale at 31,CROSS ST( at the rear of Oxford St car park). 11am until 1pm on Saturday 13th June.
TUESDAY 14th JULY OPEN EVENING Demonstration by Susan Griffiths
FRIDAY 17 th JULY FOLIAGE WORKSHOP 10.30 until 1.30pm.
At WEST HUNTSPILL METHODIST CHAPEL TA9 3QZ main road.
Jo Jacobs will be teaching us the art of working with foliage to make a lovely arrangement, we will also have the opportunity to create some “leaf manipulations”. JUNE 15th to 19th is NATIONAL FLOWER ARRANGING WEEK
June 19th Council Meeting at Timsbury Joy and Sylvia attending.
June 20th Speakers test day Lucy Ellis & Beverly Wood.
July 16th Coral Gardiner is representing the South West in an elimination contest to find
candidates to go to the World flower arranging competition in Australia.
FUND RAISING FOR THE CLUB/CHARITY
The winners for May’s Charity games were;-
How many calories in a tub of Quality streets = Julia Smith who guessed correctly 2050
calories.
How many petals on a flower = Jane Watts with 71 petals.
Thank you for your continued support for our Charity Alzheimer’s.
In June we will be guessing what colour was the Wedding bouquet and bridesmaids
dresses of the committee members,Tie breaker what year did they get married.
For a small donation, there will be some COLOURING SHEETS for you to take home and enjoy.
