BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 4th MAY CHARITY EVENT
Lynne Duckett is holding a Coffee Morning and Plant Sale in aid of CANCER RESEARCH at MARK VILLAGE HALL on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 4th MAY 10am to 12. JOY will be selling her lovely PLANTS.
TUESDAY 12TH MAY demonstration by Julia Harrison. ALSO CLUB COMPETITION Thanks go to Jenny Thomas for creating a Wedding themed programme, to be judged by Julie Kettle.
Class 1 open to Novice members ( not previously won a 1st at the Club), Class 2
Experienced members and Class 3 open to All. Exhibits to fit within the designated space of

Prizes which will be paid in cash have increased this year.
1st prize £20, 2nd prize £15 and 3rd prize £10 in all 3 classes also a prize of £20 for
Presidents choice.

BATH & WEST SHOW 28th MAY Schedules have been circulated.
TAUNTON FLOWER SHOW 7th and 8thAUGUST the class title for clubs is “Between the
sheets” (book titles).
Please look on the notice board for more information.
Is there anyone who would like to represent the Club at either show? Individuals are
also encouraged to enter.

MON 11th MAY Afternoon of flowers at Timsbury with 2 National demonstrators Coral
Gardiner &Lucy Ellis, includes tea & cake.

FUND RAISING FOR THE CLUB/CHARITY
Joy and Di have been busy demonstrating at the Burnham Belles WI.
Thanks Joy for plants, Di and Sylvia for making the cake in March.
OUR CHOSEN CHARITY ALZHEIMERS
Thanks to everyone who donated preloved Vases/containers these will be sold at the April meeting.
Please also bring along your completed colouring sheets, We will then vote by placing coins on our favourite pictures. The one with the most coins on will win a small prize.

Funeral for Judith Nussey to be held on Monday 30th March 11am at Sedgemoor Crematorium.

WORKSHOP FREEFROM FOAM Workshops
2 dates to choose from Monday 20th April Noon to 2pm or
Wednesday 22nd April 10am to Noon.You will be making AIRDRY CLAY “FROGS”.
Decorating TIN CANS & JAM JARS with hessian & ribbon. Also using DIFFERENT SIZED BOTTLES to group together to make an arrangement.
Small groups of up to 6 people with refreshments of tea /coffee & cake included in the
price of £10 (fees go to the club)
